The 27th Annual Cubs Convention will take place Friday, January 13 through Sunday, January 15, 2012, at the Hilton Chicago, located at 720 S. Michigan Avenue.
The hours of the Convention are as follows:
Friday - 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday - 9 a.m. to midnight
Sunday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This year there will be an expected 15,000 fans with Chicago Cubs tickets making their way to the three day convention. The event will be taking place on Friday afternoon and evening, all day and night Saturday, and then will be open again Sunday morning. That's three days filled with unique experiences and events, ranging from autograph and photograph sessions to invaluable one on one sessions with a legion of roaming, mingling Cubs players past and present, and more.
Almost all of the current Cubs players will be in attendance as they are every year. It's a great opportunity to get to know them better, and to get a look at the 2012 team a month before spring training and the season get underway. But there will also be past Cubs players and legends on hand, ranging from Ernie Banks to Billy Williams to Greg Maddux and Fergie Jenkins. Many others will surely be there as well, and this is as much as Cubs players reunion as it is a Cubs fans event, which means the fans get treated to even more up close and personal action with their favorite players.
There hasn't been an announcement of who will be attending other that the Cubs new President of baseball operation Theo Epstein. But I imagine the new General Manager Jed Hoyer and new manager, who ever that will be. Tom Ricketts and his family I am sure will be there.
There could be some new faces and some players of late may not be there because they are with another team. But right now it is a little early to tell. But if you want to see them you will need to get your tickets fast because tickets will become very hard to get.
Many teams across all of the professional sports hold their own
conventions and gatherings, but few, if any, do it bigger and better
than the Chicago Cubs, and
Chicago Cubs tickets to the Chicago Cubs Convention this January are still available. If you want to meet dozens of
current players and former all-time greats, participate in unique
autograph, photo, Q and A, and memorabilia sessions and much more,
then you have to get out there and get your tickets quick before it's
too late and thousands of others jump in line ahead of you.
